![]() ![]() Overall, still very happy with this software. ![]() The app's interface is almost too simple, but after a short time, you get used to where things are. Not a huge userbase, but support is still relatively easy to find online when there's something new I'm trying to accomplish. You can also use blur tools to block out API keys, passwords, or any other sensitive information that may have otherwise made its way into your tutorial/walkthrough. You can overlay music so walkthroughs are less dry and awkward, and add click effects or Zooms to specific parts of the video. Some of the free options are great, but lack in the editing functions that Screenflow just knocks out of the park. I work in IT and am constantly sending instructions to contractors, or clients. This works much better for the more elaborate, and sensitive videos as I can edit out passwords, names etc which free tools like Loom don't allow you to do yet. I also share walkthroughs and instructions with employees and contractors. I have a small YouTube channel where I share technical how-tos. And whenever new features are made available, are included in newer versions of the app – which require you pay to actually get the update, since it isn't free. CONSĬompared to other video editing solutions, ScreenFlow can come across as relatively pricey. Plus, it can be used as a screen and video recorder too, making it a pretty complete solution for all things video. As a Mac user, I'm used to apps and programmes often have a rather "minimalistic" and decluttered approach, and ScreenFlow falls perfectly into this category. The workspace isn't clutter, which makes it easier to work on different aspects of your video, be it the video part, the audio part or even additional elements such as text, transitions and still images. Things are different with ScreenFlow, though. All of this, made the experience with such tools not as smooth and straightforward as it could have been. Some video editing software I used in the past did have a relatively "busy" workspace, full with different features, effects, etc. Of the different things ScreenFlow brings to the table, my favorite one is its user interface. It just means it fills up my cloud storage so I have to keep backups of the source screencaptures local, and backed up to an external hard drive. Which in itself isn't a problem, as hard drives are generally very large now. I've gotten in the habit of recording my 5K iMac screen at full resolution so I can do some nice zoom ins and zoom outs, but of course this leads to quite large files. Although there is one thing, which is mainly my issue. The output has been very professional and clear and clean. I haven't really scratched the surface of what Screenflow can do but even with the most basic of features, I'm not overwhelmed with all the features. Recording high-quality audio at the same time. Screen capture is so straightforward and easy to set up, and then you can be straight into the editing suite. ![]() I've managed to create some lovely gif animations which I didn't imagine I would. Oh and the tutorials and help resources are all you'll need if you want to do something a bit more flash. I'm am so glad I opted for this when I did. But with remote desktop access I can unassign the license and reassign it to my laptop and vice versa without a hitch. I'm often away for months at a time and don't know whether I'll need to use it for a project. And sometimes I have to do this remotely. Because I travel I often have to move the license from my iMac desktop to my laptop. ![]() ![]() ![]() Seedlings begin to emerge from the soil about 5-10 days, depending on how warm the weather is. ![]() Growing broccoli from seed is, for the most part, a quick process. After 20 minutes, dump out whatever that hasn’t been absorbed. Pour water into the pan and let the soil absorb it from the bottom up. Step 5: Add water – Water from the bottom of the trays to avoid disturbing the soil or displacing the seedlings. Broccoli seeds should only be sown 1/8′′ – 1/4′′ deep because to their small size. It may be determined that certain organs are not suitable for transplantation, but other tissues and organs may be fine. Very few medical conditions disqualify you from donating your organs. The transplant surgeon evaluates the organs and decides whether they are suitable on a case-by-case basis.” I’m not in good enough health to donate my organs. “If you are otherwise healthy, many of your organs could still be viable for an organ donation. “There’s no absolute age exclusion,” notes Dr. “Families should start having discussions about organ donation during school age.” I’m too old to donate. “There is no age limit on organ donation, therefore, it is never too early to begin the conversation about organ donation,” says Dr. Through the entire donation process the body is treated with care, respect and dignity. Once they are clothed, you cannot tell the difference. What is done when someone donates their organs is no different than what is done when performing an autopsy. An open-casket funeral isn’t an option for people who have donated. Additionally, there are very strict criteria that must be followed before a person can be declared dead. A person only becomes eligible to be considered for organ donation after a person has been declared brain dead or it is determined that further care will not be beneficial. “Patients are being cared for by non-transplant medical professionals who do not know whether the patient is a registered donor. Siddique helps uncover some of these myths: If I register to become an organ donor, my doctors won’t work as hard to save my life. The reason? The number of people with end-stage organ failure has been rising and, with advances in transplantation, a greater proportion of these people are eligible for organ transplantation.Īnother obstacle is a lack of understanding of what it really means to be an organ donor. The need for organ donors has been rising significantly over the years. “However, if that person has not taken the steps to register or discuss their wishes with their family in advance, it is very difficult for a family to make that decision when they are still dealing with their own loss.” “Organ donation gives a family the potential to have a life-saving impact on the lives of others,” says Dr. One of the biggest obstacles to organ donation is getting individuals to register to become an organ donor before they are faced with a tragic situation. You can also log onto Live On Nebraska to register. When you register to renew your license, simply check the box that asks if you’d like to be a donor. It can help a family work through the grieving process and deal with their loss by knowing their loved one is helping save the lives of others. Organ donation can be a rewarding and positive experience. People are dying while waiting for an organ.Īpproximately 22 people die each day or 8,000 a year while they are waiting for an organ match to undergo a transplant. But only about 48 percent of the population of Nebraska has registered to become a donor. In Nebraska alone, there are approximately 500 people waiting for an organ to become available. One organ donor has the potential to save eight lives, save or improve as many as 60 lives and enhance the eyesight of two. One organ donor can help multiple people. The organ waiting list continues to grow.Įveryday, there are nearly 124,000 people on the waiting list for an organ and approximately 10 additional people are added each day. Receiving an organ can become a life-changing event for these people. People who are on an organ waiting list typically have end-stage organ disease that significantly impacts their quality of life and may be near the end of their life. Organ donation is an opportunity to help others. If you are not registered yet, Aleem Siddique, MD, thoracic and cardiac surgeon, offers these reasons to consider registering to become an organ donor. About 50 percent of the population are registered organ, eye and tissue donors. The need for organ donors is bigger than ever. Last year, 30,000 people began new lives thanks to organ transplants. ![]() ![]() Walmart prides itself in that they offer everything you can imagine.
